![]() I mean, if I want to use it with one app, and then switch to another, will Traktor recognize it again. My next question is (on the same line of thought - assuming the last question is possible), if I can remap the S4 MK2 "internally" while in MIDI mode (if that is even what is happening), do I have to "un-map" it to work again with Traktor on iPad. The bigger question (I don't know the answer) is does save "inside" the device or are you just mapping the driver "on the computer". So maybe (different question, just and example) if I mapped my S4 MK2 for Serato, will it also work on my friend's computer, or does he have to map it again on his computer. My next question is, when you map the device, are you doing it on the computer for the software, or are you mapping it in the device (does it save it). I have a lot on my plate right now and cannot just give up a whole day or weekend yet to experiment with this. I have never used it AND, for the record, before I spend a lot of time on this, I am wondering if anyone knows anything, has any success with this, tried, or anything like that. But will Djay Pro "on the iPad" see the device? I know the S4 MK2 also has a MIDI mode. The S4 MK2 is already compatible with the iPad and again, it is awesome on Traktor. My question, is if I put my S4 MK2 in MIDI mode and I map it with software on my PC for the Djay Pro on the Mac, will it also work on the iPad for Djay Pro. (Weird - maybe, maybe not, but still - weird. ![]() It probably is on a Mac, but I don't own an Mac, and also (FYI) Djay Pro is not available on PCs. Please help me stay focused on my real questions. It is actually all legal and Djay Pro is all set up to work with Spotify.įirst of all, these are not professional gigs so I don't want this discussion to be about music rights and things like that, that is not my question. It would be awesome of Traktor had a music service and one day it might, but now it does not. I can create a Spotify playlist and do it really easy and fast (on the fly even), and just play it out of Spotify but I lose all fun. In this case I am mixing mellow folk music (it is really cool). This matters because I want to do some very small social gigs (small events) where I need music I don't own. However, Djay Pro (on Mac) and Djay Pro (on iPad) lets you use Spotify accounts when you mix. I love my S4 and I even love Traktor on the iPad. I care more about Djay Pro which also does video and 4 tracks (fyi) along with Spotify. I know there are maps to make the S4 MK2 work on the Djay Pro on a Mac. ![]()
